I originally had a second-hand Yamaha student flute, which was great when I was starting out.It was nickel, and had rather hideous spots all over it, but the sound was great.However, after a while, I wanted a new flute, and I opted for silver to avoid the fading and splotching.After doing careful research for a few weeks, I decided to buy the MayBach flute.

Got this for my grand daughter and couldn't be more pleased. Exceeded my expectations and she is thrilled (as is her musical Dad) and using it. It is an excellent student flute and a great price. Stunning delivery time, too. Wish I could find as exceptional a buy on a saxophone.

I bought this flute a few months ago after not playing for several years.I was worried, because of the low price, that it would not be a quality instrument, but the other good reviews convinced me.I have found it to be easy to play with good sound, especially the higher notes where most people have trouble.Plus, the carrying strap has come in handy and I wish my flute from my school band days would have had one, as it would have prevented it from being dropped many times when my hands were ... This is an excellent flute for a beginning band student. My daughter loved it so much that she turned in the borrowed instrument from the school. Her music teacher also says it's a great flute is definitly worth every penny paid for.The company does an excellent job with shipping...we are not in the US and still received it in about a weeks time! Awesome!
